Like many entrepreneurial ventures, ours began with an unmet desire. We wanted refined yet stylish, well-crafted shoes that didn't come with a big-luxury-brand price tag. But we kept coming up short. Nothing quite matched the impeccable quality or value of the artisan-made footwear we found in tucked-away shops across Italy.

We embrace a DTC (direct-to-consumer) model that puts quality and value first. The traditional luxury market typically involves multiple stages (manufacturing + distribution + retail) with each step increasing the price you pay without enhancing the product. Our shoes are crafted in the Veneto region of Italy in workshops that also produce footwear and fine leather goods for top European fashion houses like Louis Vuitton, YSL, Givenchy, and Dior. The same artisans entrusted by these revered houses meticulously construct every pair of JB Ander shoes, bringing decades of expertise to each stitch, cut, and finish.

TO US, IT'S PERSONAL

JB Ander began as a creative spark during a moment of professional burnout. After nearly twenty years in marketing roles at Hulu, Paramount, and TikTok, founder Jason Ander caught himself asking a fundamental question: "What would bring genuine joy to my work life?" The answer was clear. Creating a menswear brand that honored his Italian heritage and lifelong passion for thoughtful design.

This brand is his love letter to Italy.

His mission: to create authentic joy.

One of the simplest paths to joy, he believes, is getting dressed in the morning. With a great outfit (and shoes) you can feel like the best version of yourself. Powerful. Magnetic. Grounded.

So JB Ander was born. Jason spent years building a team of designers, development and production leads, and materials sourcing experts. He tested suppliers and factories across Europe until finding the product quality (and brand qualities) we needed to deliver a world-class product.
